Shi Wang Zhe A? 2 continues the series as a 13-episode comedy fantasy ONA. Hua Mulan takes her team into the Cloud Desert to put down bandits and raise money for the military, and neither side knows the other. Alongside everyday life for the Great Wall Guards and the Protectorate, the season shows the desert through characters from several factions: frontier guards, a caravan that steals from the wealthy to aid the poor, ancient people whose homelands have stood empty for centuries, and a penniless prince far from home. Each has something worth defending, and a shared resolve to look out for one another draws these strangers together.
