Nearly five decades after Shin Skyers 5 aired, a batch of its previously unreleased episodes reaches the public for the first time through the second HD Remaster DVD-BD box set. The twelve specials extend the action science fiction series with material viewers had never been able to see. Some listings count thirteen episodes, because the batch opens with a colorized copy of the TV series' twelfth episode, which is otherwise unchanged.
