Two episodes of alchemist shop owners doing what they do best: brewing potions, haggling with adventurers, and pretending their day job isn't the most interesting thing happening in this fantasy world. The magic here isn't in explosions or world-ending stakes. It's in watching someone figure out the exact price for a love potion while a dragon customer waits in the corner. You get the kind of relaxation that only comes from watching competent people solve small problems in a world that doesn't demand they save it.

Onsen is a special made up of two short mini anime episodes tied to the Shinmai Renkinjutsushi no Tenpo Keiei anime. They are exclusive extras, bundled with the first and second Blu-ray and DVD volumes of that anime rather than released separately. Labeled comedy and fantasy, the special offers a brief, lighthearted bonus for viewers who already know the show.
