SYNOPSIS
Shohoku High's basketball team enters the National Championship tournament with everything on the line. Their opponents in the opening round: Tsukubu, a talented squad loaded with surprises and personal connections to nearly every player on the court. Coach Anzai faces off against his former protégé, now coaching the opposing team. Akagi and Kogure reunite with an old classmate who's become Tsukubu's captain. And then there's Sakuragi, who finds himself thoroughly annoyed by Tsukubu's center: a guy who happens to be competing for Haruko's affections. What unfolds is more than just basketball.
