This is a technical showcase masquerading as a story, and that's exactly what makes it work. Every frame is hand-drawn at 4K resolution with a level of detail that makes most anime look like sketches by comparison. The sound design hits with weight that a three-minute runtime has no right to deliver. It's not going anywhere narratively, and it doesn't need to, you're watching animation reach a milestone, not a plot unfold. For anyone who believes the medium itself can be the point, this is proof.

A young warrior and the familiar at her side set out in search of a sacred place that, according to legend, grants wishes. Ancient guardians and spirits are best left unprovoked. A single-episode fantasy short released online in 2020.
