Anpanman trades his usual villain problem for something weirder: Baikinman is suddenly fighting his own clone, and the show treats this absurdity with complete sincerity. The comedy lives in watching a character whose entire identity is "I cause chaos" get absolutely baffled by being unable to control the situation. It's the kind of premise that works perfectly for a franchise that has never taken itself seriously, where a sentient bread man punching germs is just Tuesday.
