Anpanman's Christmas is pure comfort without pretense. You already know Baikinman will fail, you already know everyone wins, and that certainty is the whole point, watching a world where kindness has no real stakes and bread-headed heroes solve problems by showing up. It's designed for the specific hour when you need to believe goodness is simple.

Christmas has arrived once more, and Anpanman and his friends gather to get ready for some kind of big undertaking. Baikinman has no idea what they are planning, but that does not stop him: he sets out to disrupt their preparations in every way he can. The result is a single-episode comedy fantasy OVA with a holiday setting, built around the heroes pressing on with their plans while Baikinman keeps trying to get in the way.
