Anpanman doesn't waste time on real stakes or moral complexity, it exists to show a kid that a bread man with a heart literally made of bean paste can walk into any disaster and fix it by letting someone eat his face. The movie leans harder into absurdist kindness than the TV show ever does, building a whole alien world just so there's more room for Anpanman to be relentlessly, stupidly good at saving people. By the end, you've stopped questioning the premise and started believing that pure-hearted stupidity is actually the most dangerous superpower in any universe.
