Anpanman doesn't need stakes to work. A villain turns everyone into babies, the logic breaks, and the show just follows the absurdity through with the same gentle warmth it always carries. This is comfort food pretending to be a plot, and it knows exactly what it is.

In this Anpanman film, Baikinman gets hold of the red water from a strange fountain, a liquid that reverts whoever it touches to babyhood. He uses it on Anpanman and his companions, leaving the whole group as infants. The result is a lighthearted fantasy comedy from 1994, screened as a double bill alongside Sore Ike!
