An artist who had never had a boyfriend decides to create her first one, turning a project born in imagination into lived reality. Her earlier work dealt with the gap between her childhood curiosity and discomfort about sexuality and what she knows about it now. The film is an animated documentary trilogy tracing a love affair from its start to its end. It draws on her observational diary of herself and her boyfriend and on a running tally of what their dates cost. She made it in 2018 as an undergraduate project in the Department of Inter-Media Art at Tokyo University of the Arts.
