The Yamato crew returns not to fight, but to witness the end of everything they've built a peace with. Desslok, the empire's ruthless dictator, is gone, and the show asks what that victory actually cost. A movie about mourning the enemy you defeated, tossing white roses onto a dead world while a new apocalypse barrels toward you from nowhere.

The year is 2203, shortly after Desslok's Galman-Gamilon Empire has defeated the Bolar Federation. A dimensional disturbance in subspace has shifted a faraway Red Galaxy onto a collision path with the Milky Way, and the resulting crashes of stars and planets have left the Galman-Gamilon homeworld devastated. The Star Force is sent to find out what is going on. At Galmania they discover Desslok's palace destroyed, and while they honor the fallen by dropping white roses onto the planet below, an enormous red planet slams into Galmania. The crew has to flee at once with an unplanned warp. A science fiction drama film, it was released in 1983.
