Spring Song is a short action film from 1931 that was first released as a record talkie, meaning silent images screened alongside sound played from a disc. Chiyogami Graph, an imprint of Chiyogami Eigasha, issued 16mm and 9.5mm Pathé Baby editions at the same time. Its title tune served as the theme for a spring dance show staged by Shochiku's revue division at the Osaka Shochikuza. The surviving print has lost its audio, but a 2004 DVD collection of Noburo Ofuji's work presents it matched to record music.
