Anime Like Strange Love
Chizuru is a sociopath in a school comedy, and the show commits to that harder than it has any right to. Episode one is a masterclass in watching someone manipulate a creepy professor into destroying himself while she walks away clean, the comedy landing because you're never supposed to root for anyone. The English dub leans into the absurdity, and by the time episode two pivots into something completely different, you're already locked in, this OVA doesn't care if you like it, only that you can't look away.
SYNOPSIS
Yoshida Chizuru has a problem. By day, she's a model student keeping her head down. By night, she's booking commercial gigs under a fake name, raking in cash while her classmates have zero idea. The school's strict no-work policy makes it risky, but the money's too good to pass up. Then her professor corners her with the truth. He knows about the commercials. He knows about the fake identity. And he's got blackmail written all over his face, ready to leverage her secret for reasons that become immediately clear. Chizuru refuses to fold. She didn't claw her way into the entertainment industry just to have some creep torpedo her career from behind a desk. What unfolds is a comedic battle of wills where Chizuru's quick thinking and shameless confidence go head-to-head with her professor's increasingly desperate schemes.
