This movie exists to animate what the arcade couldn't: Ryu's fists moving at full speed, Chun-Li's legs cutting through air with physics that matter, every frame of a fight actually earned instead of suggested. The 1994 animation is muscular in a way modern Street Fighter adaptations forgot how to be, treating each character's fighting style like a language with its own grammar. Watch it for the combat choreography that proves a video game movie doesn't have to choose between spectacle and respect for the source material.

A criminal syndicate called Shadowlaw operates in the shadows, pursuing global domination through drug smuggling, arms dealing and terrorism. At its head stands M. The film is an action-packed adaptation of the Street Fighter II arcade game, and fans of high-octane fights will find plenty to enjoy.
