Cloud moves through a world that looks like it was built for him to break things in, and the film knows exactly how much you paid to see that happen. Two years after Cloud Strife and his friends stopped Sephiroth from dropping a huge meteor onto the planet, the survivors of the ruined city of Midgar have built a new settlement called Edge. Cloud and Tifa run a courier business there and look after Marlene, the adopted daughter of their friend Barret, along with an orphaned boy named Denzel. A strange new sickness called Geostigma afflicts Denzel, Cloud and many of the town's children. At the same time, three powerful men searching for Jenova are abducting infected kids for reasons nobody knows. Cloud sets out to protect the children from both the disease and the kidnappers, unaware that the trio is tied to Sephiroth, his old foe, and that the fight will drag him back toward his own history. He and the friends who once saved the world must come together to save it again. The film is a science fiction fantasy action feature.
