K grabs you by the eyeballs before it ever bothers explaining itself. GoHands drenches Shizume City in that unhinged teal grade and swings the camera through impossible arcs while Kuroh's blade meets Yata's skateboard in mid air, and angela's KINGS hammers over the top like the show is daring you to care about coherence. And you won't, not at first, because the plot genuinely parks itself for an entire episode of school festival nonsense before remembering it had a murder mystery. Then it earns everything: Anna clutching her red marbles, HOMRA roaring no blood, no bone, no ash, Mikoto letting his Sword of Damocles come down and Munakata driving a blade through him anyway because that is what a Blue King does. Totsuka filming his friends on that rooftop is the whole series in thirty seconds. Stay for Neko's ridiculous devotion and Kuroh's bento, the two most human things in a show about gods.
