The 3D animation is so fluid that every punch lands harder than it should, every grab snap-reads in real time. The plot exists only to string fight scenes together, and it knows this, never pretending otherwise. If you came for the Tekken roster throwing each other through physics, the movie delivers exactly that, nothing less.

Ling Xiaoyu, a high schooler, is enlisted by G Corporation's Anna Williams to enroll at Kyoto University and quietly learn what she can about a student called Shin Kamiya. At the same time, Jin Kazama, head of the Mishima Zaibatsu, sends Alisa Bosconovitch to the same school on an identical assignment. Neither girl knows the other's real purpose, yet the two become close friends. That bond is strained when Shin is seized by an unidentified attacker. The film is a one-off feature that mixes action and science fiction with fantasy and supernatural elements.
