Look, this exists to sell you on four guys you're about to spend 100+ hours with, and it actually works. Each episode is a separate origin story, so you get Prompto's insecurity, Gladio's weight, Ignis's sacrifice, Noctis's loneliness without any of them feeling like box-ticking. By the time you boot up the game, these aren't party members anymore, they're the friends you're terrified of losing.

Noctis Lucis Caelum, Crown Prince of Lucis, heads for Caem to meet and marry Lunafreya, an oracle he has known since childhood. His friends and Royal Guard Gladiolus, Prompto and Ignis ride with him across the continent in the Regalia, the king's own convertible. Over five standalone episodes, the situations they run into on the road lead the four to look back on their shared past and grow closer for what lies ahead. The action fantasy ONA is a prequel to the video game Final Fantasy XV.
