Anime Like Sunny
A three-minute fever dream that turns n-buna's song into something you have to see to understand what the lyrics mean. The 2D and 3D clash works because it should clash, like watching someone's memory glitch between what they remember and what actually happened. Kohta Morie treats the animation like another instrument in the song rather than decoration for it.
SYNOPSIS
A solitary figure moves through moments of quiet beauty: sunlight filtering through trees, hands reaching across empty space, the gentle weight of memory. Yorushika's "Sunny" transforms a single song into a visual meditation on connection and loss, where warmth becomes both comfort and ache. Director Kohta Morie crafts something deliberately understated, letting the music carry what dialogue cannot. There is no plot in the conventional sense, only the feeling of someone searching for light in the in-between spaces of a life. The video captures that specific loneliness of standing near another person yet remaining distant, of wanting to bridge a gap that might already be closed.
