Mitsuyoshi's camera becomes the language he uses to fall in love, and the show understands that watching someone learn to see another person is more interesting than the confession itself. The animation moves with real weight, every glance lingers, every stumble reads as genuine uncertainty. The first half is genuinely charming, though the second half loses momentum as if the writers ran out of things to say once the couple actually got together.

Mitsuyoshi Tada is an aspiring photographer starting his second year of high school, and love has never been something he thinks about. While photographing a cherry tree in full bloom, he meets Teresa Wagner, a cheerful foreign girl who has lost track of her travel companion after arriving in Japan. When a sudden rainstorm catches her, Tada brings her to his grandfather's coffee shop to dry off. Soon after, she finds her stern redheaded companion, Alec, again. The two say goodbye, expecting never to meet again, only to turn up as transfer students in his class the next day. Teresa and Alec join the photography club alongside Tada's quirky friends, and his school days become even more lively. A romantic comedy set in everyday student life.
