Nine short skits, produced for the Toei Anime Fair, make up this 1997 film. Its Tamagotchi never speak words. Instead they get their meaning across with sounds much like the way Pokémon talk. That detail sets the film apart, since every other anime adaptation of the franchise lets the Tamagotchi speak Japanese.
