The original series left every relationship fractured and every fight unfinished. This OVA doesn't reset anything or smooth it over, it forces the cast to confront what they actually want from each other, not what they pretended to want before. Aya and Maya's confrontation over Nagi is raw because it's not about winning an argument, it's about sisters who love each other realizing they're on opposite sides of something that matters. Nagi doesn't get a clean victory or a neat resolution. He gets Mitsuomi, a death match, and the weight of every choice that brought him to that point. This is what happens when a shounen anime remembers that fighting is just the language people use to say things they can't say any other way.

Picking up where the original series left off, this two-episode OVA has its characters trying to settle their conflicts with one another. Aya confronts her sister Maya about Nagi. Nagi, meanwhile, is challenged by Mitsuomi to a fight to the death. Bob trains as hard as he can for the upcoming tournament. Based on the manga by Oogure Ito, the story mixes supernatural action with drama and romance.
