Tenka Muteki no Gouyaaman is a single stop-motion music video starring Gouyaaman, a superhero who is a bitter melon. The video grows out of an insert song from the live-action drama Churasan. In that drama he was a mascot invented to draw tourists to a fading town, and he flopped and became a running joke. The drama found a wide audience, and Gouyaaman went on to become an actual Okinawan mascot with his own merchandise.
