Konoha's trapped inside her own worst creative decision, which is the funniest possible prison for someone who remembers exactly how bad her teenage writing was. The show knows the entire villainess genre is ridiculous and leans into that knowledge with comedy that actually lands instead of winking at you. Konoha Satou spent her teenage years writing indulgent fantasy romance stories, and now she has been reborn inside one of them as Iana Magnolia, the villainess she deliberately made as hateful as possible. Because the character is doomed, recalling every detail of her old writing is what keeps her alive. She slips past the first few death flags, but then a mysterious figure named Yomi comes back from the Lily Kingdom. Konoha has no memory of creating this character. Yomi insists on being her ally, yet Konoha must decide whether to trust someone she knows nothing about while she tries to steer Iana toward a peaceful fate. The result is a comedic fantasy romance.
