The Duke and Alice's awkward tenderness becomes the entire point, every deflection, every moment he almost touches her hand, every time she pretends not to care costs something real. Season 2 stops dancing around why they matter to each other and just commits. By the finale, the curse isn't what you're rooting to break.

The young duke has lived under a curse since childhood: every living thing he touches dies. His mother has set him an ultimatum, lift the curse or lose his family inheritance. Wealth means little to him, but he wants to be free of this deadly power for the sake of the people closest to him, above all Alice Lendrott, the flirty maid whose devotion to him never wavers. Their fondness for each other keeps growing as the duke, Alice and their friends pass lively days caught up in absurd supernatural affairs. All the while the spring deadline draws nearer. Even so, the duke will not take any shortcut that would mean betraying the trust of the friends he holds dear. This second season is a supernatural romantic comedy with a streak of drama.
