Hajime Kindaichi, grandson of the famed detective Kosuke Kindaichi, seems like an ordinary high school student, but whenever a hard case turns up, his sharp powers of deduction come out. In this second season he is again drawn into bewildering crimes: a grisly murder tied to the board game Go, a macabre mystery involving a figure called Rosenkreutz and blue roses, and chilling crimes linked to an urban legend at a winter ski resort. Helping him are his childhood friend Miyuki Nanase and police inspector Isamu Kenmochi, while his rival Kengo Akechi also puts his mind to each case.
