In the wild world, humans are small but far from lowly. Shennong and his people in the human domain, along with the many clans of Beiye, each work hard and grow quickly in their own way. The Star God bewitches and suppresses one of them, but he answers with stubborn resistance, fighting to protect his tribe, his family and his bloodline. The result is a fantasy about small beings who refuse to yield to a god.
