Nian Bing has two magics that should never coexist in one person, so he cooks instead. The real power isn't the impossible fire-ice fusion waiting to explode, it's watching someone choose the quiet path of feeding people over the roar of vengeance. A show built on the principle that the best magic is the kind that brings someone back to the table.

Nian Bing is the son of a fire mage and an ice mage. After the Ice Lord kills both of his parents, their magic gems pass to him, and he runs from the Ice Lord's followers. During the escape he pulls off something no mage should be able to do, casting fire and ice magic at once, before he falls from a cliff and loses consciousness. An old man saves him and serves him a dish more delicious than anything he has ever eaten. His rescuer turns out to be a brilliant cook who was once known as a spirit chef, and he is set on making Nian Bing his disciple at any cost. Now Nian Bing must pursue revenge for his parents while also working toward becoming the greatest chef, in a fantasy action adventure told across 52 episodes.
