Na Sheng's search for paradise becomes a descent into a world where every legendary figure is broken in ways that matter. The blood rain isn't scenery, it's what happens when myth collides with reality, and neither wins. By the time you realize Yunhuang was never the destination, you're too invested in the people destroying each other there to leave.

Na Sheng is a lively, upbeat Hmon girl who wants to get away from a world in turmoil. She travels a long way in search of Yunhuang, the place she dreams of calling home. As a spirited wanderer, she sets out to find it. The deeper she goes into Yunhuang, the more she has to wonder whether it really is the paradise of legend. Strange, unsettling rains of blood appear, and larger-than-life figures from legend step forward, each with a personality of their own, acting out touching stories drawn from myth. The ONA blends action, adventure, fantasy and romance, and its first two episodes recap the earlier Feng Qi Pian.
