A girl with a third eye wakes up alone in the desert and spends the next 24 episodes learning what it means to belong to a world that fears her. The show builds its philosophy quietly, through conversations and small moments of trust, never announcing what it's teaching you. Centuries of interplanetary war have wrecked civilization, and only a fifth of humanity survived. Just after the fighting ended, a new breed of humans called The Third emerged, marked by a red third eye that lets them command computer systems and rule the world through their hold on technology. Honoka is a wandering sword for hire who will take on any kind of work except killing, and many know her as the Sword Dancer for her skill with the blade and with chi. When she rescues a young man named Ikus in the desert and accepts a job from him, the two set out on an action-filled science fiction adventure.
