A political marriage between a reluctant princess and a child king sounds like instant love story setup. Instead, the show spends its whole runtime watching two people who actively don't want to be together slowly realize they actually do. Nike refuses to play the accommodating heroine, and Livius refuses to play the romantic lead, and somehow that friction becomes the whole point.

Nike Remercier, the fourth princess of the Rain Dukedom, is sent to the Sun Kingdom to marry its ruler, Livius, for the sake of her homeland, though she has no wish to go. In the Sun Kingdom rain is unknown, while her people can bring it down with their voices. Livius took the throne and conquered the whole world within three years, and rumors abroad paint him as a cruel tyrant, so Nike braces for the worst. When they meet, she learns the king is still a child, one who wants her to summon rain for petty reasons. The show blends adventure, fantasy and romance.
