Anime Like The World of Narue
A kid finds out his neighbor is an alien and just... accepts it. The show knows the romance premise is silly, so it stops pretending and becomes about two people figuring out how to be together across species anyway. Twelve episodes disappear in one sitting because it never overstays a joke or wastes time on plot nobody cares about.
SYNOPSIS
Narue is a normal high school girl living a normal life, except for one tiny detail: she's an extraterrestrial. Her alien biology comes packaged with superhuman abilities and access to advanced technology, but navigating Earth as a teenager while keeping her identity under wraps proves far more complicated than any intergalactic threat. When her neighbor Kazuto stumbles onto the truth, she has to decide whether to erase his memory or let him in on her secret. He chooses to stay, and suddenly Narue's carefully balanced double life gets a lot more complicated. As the two grow closer, she grapples with what it actually means to belong somewhere. School feels claustrophobic when you're hiding your true nature, romantic moments get messy when you can accidentally break things with your strength, and friendship takes on new weight when you're literally from another world. Between dodging her own people's investigations and figuring out how to be human, Narue discovers that maybe the hardest thing about being an alien isn't the powers or the technology. It's learning to let someone see you completely and hoping they'll stay anyway.
