A kid finds out his neighbor is an alien and just... accepts it. The show knows the romance premise is silly, so it stops pretending and becomes about two people figuring out how to be together across species anyway. Twelve episodes disappear in one sitting because it never overstays a joke or wastes time on plot nobody cares about.
Narue seems like an ordinary schoolgirl, but she is hiding something: she is an alien, and she has powers straight out of science fiction. Growing up is hard enough without coming from outer space, and her days fill up with androids and alien invaders on top of the usual troubles of being a teenager. Through all of it she also has her first date with the boy who lives next door. The result is a sci-fi romantic comedy that mixes otherworldly chaos with a sweet first romance.
