History isn't what you learned in class, it's what happens when a junior high kid and a robot that changes shape get sent back to fix it. Every famous historical figure is secretly ridiculous, every textbook is lying, every mission has exactly one way to work and seventeen ways to fail spectacularly. This is a show that trusts you to laugh at the absurdity without needing anything deeper underneath.
Tokio's ordinary life as a junior high student in the present day changes when he is suddenly made a member of the 24th century's Space-Time Administration Bureau. His mission is to uncover the True History, the version of events that his textbooks leave out, because what he learned in class turns out to be wrong. The real past is far stranger than anyone imagines. Cleopatra is actually a comedy duo named Cleo and Patra, and Momotarou is more of an ogre than the ogres themselves. Alongside his partner Calen, Tokio uses the 24 Bokan Mecha in the search for the truth. Standing in their way is the Akudama Trio of Bimajo, Tsubuyakky and Suzukky, who work for History Paradise, the world's largest textbook company, to keep history as the textbooks wrote it. Comedy and action collide in a sci-fi mecha romp through a past that is far more entertaining than any textbook.
