Seven animated stories unfold across China, moving between past and present, city and countryside, and everyday settings and mythical realms. Among the protagonists are a family of rabbits, a boy doing homework at his parents' restaurant, and a child staying with his grandmother in a rural village. Each tale deals with love, hardship and growing up in its own way, including learning to follow your own path. Every short has a distinct hand-crafted look, using techniques such as ink painting, watercolor, paper-cutting and collage in vivid color. Together they form a fantasy and slice-of-life anthology from a group of Chinese filmmakers.
