Fushi has spent centuries fighting monsters. Now he's learning to live with people, and that's infinitely harder. The show stops being about survival and becomes about whether an immortal who has seen everything can still find meaning in a world that moves on without him. What makes this sting is how honest it gets: peace isn't a reward you earn and keep. It's something you have to choose every single day, knowing it can shatter tomorrow.

Centuries have passed since Fushi's war against the Nokkers ended. The immortal being wakes in a modern world transformed by time, surrounded by companions old and new, finally tasting something resembling peace. He moves in with Yuuki Aoki, a cheerful middle schooler, and meets her friend Mizuha, a descendant of the Guardians who once protected him. But tranquility proves fragile. Strange events follow whenever Mizuha comes near Fushi, and a new kind of enemy emerges, one that finds its way into the cracks of the mind. As these shadows deepen, Fushi learns what the Beholder, the force that created him, has truly been after, and he must prepare to make a final decision. The season blends adventure, fantasy and psychological drama.
