The pastel grotesqueness lures you in, then the show systematically dismantles every character you've grown to trust. Seven Wonders mysteries collapse into something genuinely tragic, where the supernatural paperwork of a high school bathroom becomes the stage for betrayal that actually costs people. Animation that looks like storybook watercolor painting carries moments so dark they need that softness to land without breaking you.

Nene Yashiro and Kou team up with Hanako to unmask a traitor hidden among the Seven Wonders of Kamome Academy. Between supernatural trouble and a busy school life, Nene gets little rest until the annual class sleepover, which she hopes to enjoy with her best friend Aoi Akane. The event falls on Urabon, a date when the boundary between the living and the dead blurs and malevolent spirits rise. The Sixth Wonder, Shinigami, whose flute can trap souls, saves Nene from a ghost, but he then carries Aoi off as a sacrifice to seal the barrier. Nene sets out into the realm of the dead to bring her back. Supernatural action, mystery, drama and comedy mix throughout.
