SYNOPSIS
A disgraced golfer named Igarashi escapes to Japan's remote Tokara Islands seeking refuge from his past. What he finds instead is Tonbo, a wild girl with an impossible gift: she can make any shot imaginable with nothing but a single 3-iron club. On a makeshift course carved into the island landscape, she plays every day with the kind of natural talent that defies explanation. Igarashi becomes obsessed with uncovering how she does it. Her technical mastery is undeniable, yet something darker shadows her eyes. As he pushes deeper into her world, he discovers that Tonbo's gift comes wrapped in tragedy, a burden she carries alone on these isolated islands. What unfolds is a story about redemption through teaching, about finding purpose in lifting someone else up. Igarashi sees in Tonbo a chance to reclaim his own broken career.
