This is a coda for people who actually finished Touch and need to know what happened after the story ended. Tatsuya and Minami finally build separate lives instead of orbiting each other, and the show lets them do it quietly, without declaring it a victory. It costs you the whole series to get here, but that's the point: this isn't a story, it's a breath after a long run.

Tatsuya wants to find a way of playing baseball that is truly his own. He moves to America and pitches for the Emeralds, a poor minor league team that is struggling to get by. Back in Japan, Minami has given up rhythmic gymnastics and is searching for her own direction. A photograph taken at her last performance inspires her, and she goes to work as the photographer's assistant. This one-episode TV special spins off from Touch and mixes sports drama with romance, following each of them on a separate path.
