Nobody's watching this. The format is too small, the platform wrong, the ambition too low on paper. But the comedy in these shorts has the timing of a show ten times its budget, and the character chemistry is immediate enough that you forget you're watching scraps between real episodes. It costs you nothing but five minutes at a time, and it gives back something the main series couldn't fit in. This is what happens when animators get loose.

The characters from Tougen Anki return in a set of short comedy animations released as an ONA on the "Togen Anki" Project YouTube channel. The collection runs to 25 episodes, among them a bonus episode titled "Momotaro." It suits viewers who enjoyed the main series and want more time with its cast in quick, lighthearted bursts.
