Having left Record Country, where a book of memories was kept, Sakura, Syaoran, Fye, Kurogane and Mokona arrive in Tokyo Country, a bleak desert land where rival factions wage a bloody war over natural resources and survival. There they encounter a mysterious hooded group and are pulled, against their will, into the struggle to stay alive. Meanwhile, revelations come to light that alter the course of their journey for good, alongside a betrayal and a battle that puts every one of their lives at risk. Produced by Production I.G as a project separate from the Tsubasa Chronicle TV anime, the three OVAs of roughly 25 minutes each adapt the manga's Tokyo arc, which slots in after episode 42 of the series. They were released in Japan in limited editions bundled with manga volumes 21 through 23.
