A star land is home to a cluster of small creatures called Budding Pops, content with their star fruit and their daily feedings without much thought for why they exist there at all. None of them question the routine until one small Pop wakes up different, weary of the constant scheming and petty rivalries that fill their days. What he wants is simple: real companions, ones who can care for each other honestly instead of playing games. But comfortable little worlds rarely stay comfortable, and change arrives faster and stranger than he expects, pulling his quiet star land into something new.
