A protagonist travels to Uji and spends time wandering the city, a place molded by layers of history and culture built up over many eras, the Heian period among them. Uji is the town linked to Murasaki Shikibu, and this roughly six-minute special is a promotional collaboration between Uji City and Kyoto Animation, directed by Takuya Yamamura. It pairs a slice-of-life tour with a supernatural touch. A 30-second cut appeared online in March 2024, and the full version reached YouTube that August.
