A screenwriter watches a murder and suddenly has to live inside the action movie he's been writing. SYNOPSIS
Ryou Matsumoto's ordinary day shatters when he stumbles onto a street killing and becomes an unwitting witness to something far bigger than murder. Before he can process what he's seen, a woman named Yuki pulls him into the orbit of a ruthless smuggling operation trafficking in stolen antiquities. Now marked as a liability to dangerous people, Ryou faces a brutal choice: disappear, or use every trick he's learned writing action screenplays to actually survive the real thing. The line between fiction and reality collapses as Ryou discovers that the heroic personas he's crafted on the page might be his only lifeline. With Yuki as his reluctant partner, he must outthink and outmaneuver criminals who won't hesitate to eliminate loose ends. Every instinct he honed imagining impossible escapes gets tested in the gritty streets where consequences don't cut to black. This is a lean, kinetic thriller where a writer's imagination becomes the only weapon worth having.
