Rika and her friends are trapped in a nightmare they can't escape. In the small village of Hinamizawa, the summer of 1983 keeps repeating: the friends are drawn into terrible conflicts with one another, and the cycle frequently closes with one of them brutally killed. To find the true culprit and break the chains of fate, Rika must rely on the friendship and trust among her companions. The 24 episodes adapt the final two solution arcs of the 07th Expansion visual novels, Minagoroshi-hen and Matsuribayashi-hen, along with an anime original arc, Yakusamashi-hen.
