Paper creases become the entire world. A fold in something mundane suddenly matters because you're watching someone get genuinely, quietly lost in it. This is animation built for the three minutes when you stop scrolling and actually look at something. The film doesn't ask you to feel anything. It just shows you how easy it is to disappear into the space between what's there and what you decide it means.
A sheet of paper is folded and then opened out again, and the creases left behind start to look like lines. Those lines give the flat sheet a slight sense of depth and seem to carry some meaning, and the narrator admits to often drifting into thoughts like these. The short film was made as a 2024 graduate work in the animation department of Tokyo University of the Arts' Graduate School of Film and New Media.
