Kubota spends two episodes learning that coasting through yakuza life stops working the second something genuinely matters. Tokito arrives as the thing that breaks his autopilot, and the show knows the difference between a partnership and a person who actually sees you. Makoto Kubota heads the Izumo Group's youth gang and drifts through life without looking too closely at himself, kept busy by yakuza wars, mahjong and assassinations. That changes when he comes across Wild Adapter, a strange drug with bizarre side effects that can include death. Kubota takes in Minoru Tokito, a drifter with a mysterious past whose right arm has been turned into a monstrous limb by exposure to the drug. The two form an unlikely companionship and look into where Wild Adapter comes from as it ravages the city's underground. This two-episode OVA mixes action, comedy, drama and mystery.
