The console wars become a literal battlefield, and the show leans into the joke hard enough that it stops pretending to be anything other than an excuse to throw Sonic at Mario. The Segua Kingdom has been losing its war against the Ninterdo Empire, until a boy named Gear appears and swings the fight in Segua's favor. Every character on both sides is a parody of a Nintendo or Sega game, with nods to titles such as Sonic the Hedgehog, Super Mario Bros. and The Legend of Zelda. Across three special episodes, the story blends action, adventure and fantasy with a healthy share of ecchi content, making it a playful spin on the rivalry between two famous gaming companies.
