Mr. Salted Fish survives by showing up when people need him, not by trying to be anyone special. Season 2 deepens what made the first work: a dried fish who stumbles through island life, accidentally becoming the person everyone trusts because he stays. The comedy doesn't punch down at the islanders' strangeness, it finds the humor in how a preserved fish and a cast of misfits become each other's answer to loneliness.

Brother Xianyu is still living a relaxed, cheerful, ordinary life on Yushen Island in this second season of the comedy fantasy ONA. That calm breaks when gods from the Nantianmen Group arrive to look into a theft of divine tablets. One surprise follows another, and because Brother Xianyu gets caught up in events, the secrets tied to the Fish God and Seren gradually come to light. Facing racial divides and the prejudices of the world, he has to get through this trial in his own distinctive way.
