Nie Li returns with a lifetime of knowledge trapped in a body nobody believes in, so every victory is proof he's not insane. The Taoist cosmology grounds the spirit cultivation in something that feels like actual philosophy rather than generic power scaling. Season 2 deepens what made the first run work: a protagonist who has to rebuild everything while the world treats him like he's still nothing.

The second season of Yao Shen Ji picks up the story of Nie Li, who once rose to become the strongest Demon Spiritist before dying in battle against the Sage Emperor and six deity-ranked beasts. Sent back to his thirteen-year-old self, he relies on the knowledge from his former life to train faster than anyone expects and to help others grow stronger. This 40-episode ONA blends action, adventure and fantasy.
