The setup is playground-pure: a theme park, costumes, the premise of pretend made real. Then the show strips that away and makes you watch five girls you've grown to care about actually fight to get their friends back. The mirror versions of themselves aren't just enemies to defeat. They're the darker answer to who these girls could become if everything went wrong. By the end, saving Coco and Nuts means saving a version of yourself you hoped would never exist.

Nozomi and her four friends, joined by Coco, Nuts and Milk, spend a day at Princess Land, a castle-themed amusement park where they dress up as princes and princesses. Their fun ends when Coco and Nuts are abducted into the Mirror Kingdom. Meanwhile an evil clown named Shadow is after the Dream Collet, hoping to use the power of the Pinkies to take control of the Mirror Kingdom. With help from Hidarin and Migirin, two residents of that realm, Pretty Cure set out to rescue their friends and stop Shadow. Along the way they must also face five girls from the Mirror Kingdom who look strangely familiar. The film is a magical girl fantasy adventure with plenty of action.
